Grant Swanson is an LA-based director-writer. His short films have screened in festivals around the world, including at Fantasia, on Short of the Week, and in countless others. His scripts have placed in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Austin Film Festival’s Screenwriting Contest, and many more.
He received his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. IRON LAKE, Swanson’s thesis film, will be released in 2025.

In addition to directing/writing, Grant has worked as a television editor for shows on NBC, CBS, Hulu, & Peacock. His work on NBC’s Consumer 101 was nominated for an Emmy® Award for editing (but lost to Sesame Street).
He’s cut work for clients like Polo Ralph Lauren, Paris Hilton, Lil Nas X, Noah Centineo, Logitech, TikTok, & Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). His work has garnered billions of views on YouTube.
